Q. I have had both breasts removed. I did not show cancer in my lymph nodes. My last surgery was six months ago, and my last radiation was a month ago. By 1994, eleven double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trials had been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of oral echinacea.
Only six of these received as much as a 50% score on a criteria-based evaluation for scientific rigor.
Unfortunately, most of the best designed studies used Resistan, an unusual proprietary echinacea formula consisting predominately of Echinacea angustifolia, but also containing other herbs and even homeopathic preparations.
Since 1994, several large and well-designed studies have evaluated single species preparations, yielding results that are more interpretable.

Biodynamics (BD) is a step beyond carbon-cycle organics. It says to treat your place, the farm, as an organism, to create a boundary, which makes a form, A form without an edge is impossible. Otherwise it is like a factory which maximizes linear throughput, and factories don’t score high in spirituality. The biodynamic ideal is a self-sufficient organism, difficult to achieve in an era of specialization, more possible with a small group of properties.
